Yes, I speak in hashtag. Digital Media was a thing in my life before it even was a thing. Before hashtags were pronounced with the hashtag.
Remember the infant days of AOL, LiveJ, and Xanga?

My initial intrigue with marketing began early. As a kid I was easily fascinated by the distinctive narratives initiated by concepts like merchandise placement in the grocery store and the ABCs of music promotion. There wasn’t one fool-proof formula for anything, but trying to figure out how to get even close got me hooked.

In grade school I even did a school project on opening up a record store which became a breakdown of both avenues. At the time I didn’t know the official terminology for any of it, but the attraction to why an item would be placed eye-level vs. on the bottom shelf, to carefully orchestrated liner notes and concert merch stuck to me like glue.

In the end, it all told a story and I wanted to be THAT kind of storyteller.

This initial intrigue has carried me through unique adventures in my career!

My backbone is inspired by data digging. My core is creative.
I’ve been an analytic, brand storytelling geek of all sorts and it has brought me to where I am today professionally.

In my free time?

Major food + beverage geekdom, fermentation topics especially. Didn’t know a lick about wine until I was mentored by a wine buyer at a Restaurant Row staple (this is within Chicago’s trendy and bustling West Loop district). Now I’m so invested in it in my downtime that I have an IG HANDLE + dedicated WEBSITE about it to help me catch up with the world of wine who has been exposed to it since Michael Jordan came back to 23 after the 45.

Apart from food + beverage my interests include music (in another life I thought I’d be a producer or audio engineer), fashion (working the NYFW Fashion Week tents was a dream), and tech (changes are inevitable, let’s get ahead of it!).
